Carrie Shields

Franklin High School Counselor

About me...

Hello! I am Carrie Shields, Counselor at Franklin High School. I look forward once again to working with all students and parents. I know that this school year will bring many new positive and meaningful experiences.

I want to be available to Franklin children and their families. I can help students with issues relating to academics, motivation, goal-setting, and social skills. I can also work with individuals on personal concerns or difficulties.

I have a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies (1993) from Texas A & M University and a M.Ed. in Counseling (2008) from Sam Houston State University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor as well as a National Certified Counselor. I have worked in public education for 29 years; this is my 17th year to be employed as a FISD school counselor.

Please contact me if I can be of any assistance. I can be reached at school at 828-7100 or cshields@franklinisd.net.
